Livability Strategy Sessions

BACKGROUND

Livability is one of four Strategy Session topics that will help distill existing policy, ongoing engagement, and high level discussion into a set of policy proposals. Those policies will then be bolstered by action steps devised by the KC Spirit Playbook planning staff and refined through public input and discussion.

If you aren't able to attend a Strategy Session, you can always participate by completing the surveys at the bottom of this page.

Livability discussions will be focused on topics related to our neighborhoods and the day-to-day lived experience of Kansas Citians. We will focus on issues related to housing affordability, access, and diversity as well as other issues related to strong neighborhoods, access to services, and much more.

Topics to be covered at Livability Strategy Sessions include, but are not limited to:

  • Housing affordability
  • Neighborhood amenities
  • Desirable neighborhoods
  • Revitalizing distressed neighborhoods
  • Community character
